Sketches of Early High Prairie

Interest in the history of High Prairie was sparked by the discovery of a collection of stories by one of the early residents of the Prairie, Neila Binford Fleming. Her recollection of this sometimes difficult, but always beautiful land are detailed in Sketches of Early High Prairie.

Over the last few years the High Prairie Historical Society has tried to build on historical foundation of this book and collected pioneer family histories as they have been recorded by the descendent of early settlers and native residents of the Prairie.
