We Know You Are Patiently Waiting

But the wait is over! The Summer High Prairian is finally out. Inside you will find a rundown of the 2017 Firehouse Sale; accounts of the great Hartland Road Fire and greater still efforts of the fire crews that got it under control; turkeys (!); lots of photos (especially if you read online); and, of course, much more.

High Prairie Firehouse Sale — June 23, 24 & 25

The High Prairie Firehouse Sale is coming up fast! Once again the sale will have all the elements that have made this event so popular in the past: huge rummage sale, silent auction, quilt raffle, rifle & sportsman’s raffle, and, of course, the food booth featuring Myrin’s Famous Bratwurst (and lots of other goodies).

On Saturday there will be a Show-and-Shine car show and the Fire District will bring out their fire truck for the kids’ fire hose game.

This year there’s a new feature. Individuals can rent a space for their booth or pickup to have their own little yard sale within the big sale. Tables are available for rent, too. If you’re interested, call Tamera Woodruff at 360-241-3537.

Look for bargains galore, lots of fun, and good food at the High Prairie Firehouse Sale — Friday through Sunday, June 23, 24 & 25. Opening time is 8 a.m. (no earlybirds). Closing time is 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Spring Has Sprung…

…And So Has The High Prairian!

In this edition we bring you Spring in the form of wildflowers and bugs!!! But first, a little of the historic winter of 2016/2017 captured in images by our very own High Prairie photographers. We remember Dona Taylor and the life she brought to the Prairie and we celebrate a huge milestone for Paul Strait. We ponder the future of the Firehouse Sale and so much more.
